How can we add the expressions or attributes in the parts description?
Such as I have one sheet metal component, which is having dimensions 1500 x 2000 x 4 mm in the form of (Length x width x thickness), then how can I trace this dimensions in my bill of material, if I have assembly of this kind sheet metal components.
For your reference you can see this video, but this operation had been applied on AUTODESK inventor

I love using the weldment application however you have to use part bodies or linked geometry. If this application would work with the actual assembly part files it would be awesome. The other downfall is it doubles the size/loading time of your part file unless you make separate part files or change the assembly load options. I actually use them in the same part file with wave linked geometry with a separate weldment reference set to try and keep everything associative. It really makes the FEA more accurate than just uniting everything if materials are assigned correctly. I noticed while using the weld application if there's sheet metal parts and standard modeled parts, such as tubing it can get a little finicky. Other than the work arounds this application is very intuitive. Thanks for the video.
